Cardiosolutions was founded in 2006 by STD Med, Inc., a leading medical device manufacturer, in order to develop less invasive alternatives to open surgical procedures addressing the mitral valve of the heart.

Our Percu-Pro™ System will provide a percutaneous substitute to incursive surgical repair of the heart's mitral valve structure. The procedure consists of a proprietary implant that is placed into the heart's mitral orifice using a catheter-based deployment system that allows access to the heart through the patient's femoral (leg) artery. The Percu-Pro system will alleviate mitral regurgitation in an entirely new population of elderly and debilitated patients typically unable to endure an open heart procedure.

To date, Cardiosolutions' accomplishments have been achieved in a capital efficient manner as a result of its relationship with STD Med, who provides several key benefits including on-site design, development and engineering capabilities.
